Family Ties is a drama that follows Amber, a young African American woman, preparing to graduate high school. In her household she is extremely relied on but she wants to move away and follow her dreams. Her absentminded father is weary about her leaving all the responsibilities on him due to her mother figure role in the home. She struggles to find a way to chase after her passion while also supporting her family.
